If you’ve ever checked five weather apps, three tide tables, two harbour guides, and still wondered whether today’s trip was a good idea, you’re not alone.
Scan and Go was created by sailors who were frustrated with having to piece together information from multiple sources before every journey. Weather, tides, swell, visibility, harbour details, local conditions, passage planning… the information exists, but it is often scattered across different websites and apps.
Our goal is simple
Bring the information sailors need into one easy-to-understand place, so you can make better decisions with confidence.
Sail smarter. Stress less.
Scan and Go helps you quickly assess conditions for your destination by combining relevant marine information into a single view.
Instead of spending time searching, comparing and interpreting multiple sources, you can focus on the questions that really matter:
- Is today a good day to go?
- What conditions should I expect?
- Are there any risks I should be aware of?
- Is my planned trip suitable for my boat and experience level?
We’re not here to replace good seamanship
We’re here to support it. Scan and Go is a passage-planning aid — not a chart, not a course to steer, and not navigation advice. You remain responsible for deciding whether to go and how you sail.
Built with technology. Guided by experience.
Modern technology, including AI, allows us to analyse and organise huge amounts of marine information. But boating decisions should never rely solely on automation.
That’s why Scan and Go is designed to present information clearly and transparently, helping sailors make informed decisions rather than making decisions for them.
Built with AI. Checked by sailors.
Why we’re different
Most marine tools focus on a single area, whether that’s weather, tides, charts or passage planning.
Scan and Go focuses on what sailors actually need: a clear picture of whether a trip is likely to be enjoyable, comfortable and suitable for your plans.
By bringing together multiple sources of information, we aim to reduce planning time and increase confidence before you leave the dock.
Still in development
Scan and Go is currently being developed and improved with help from real sailors.
We’re continuously adding new features, refining forecasts, improving usability and listening carefully to feedback from our community.
If you’re joining during the early stages, thank you. Your feedback helps shape the future of the platform.
Our mission
To make marine planning simpler, clearer and more accessible for every sailor, from weekend cruisers and coastal explorers to experienced skippers planning longer passages.
Because better information leads to better decisions. And better decisions lead to more enjoyable days on the water.
